Finding a Plumber

We recommend you choose a professional plumber who is a member of the Scottish and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers Federation (Snipef) or the Institute of Plumbing (IOP).

Snipef is the national trade association for professional plumbing and heating firms in Scotland and Northern Ireland. 

The Institute of Plumbing is the industry's professional body and all individual members have to comply with a Code of Professional Standards.

If your plumber is to be involved in any work relating to gas within your house they should also be CORGI registered.

Finding an Electrician

We recommend you choose a professional electrician who is a member of the Electrical Contractors' Association of Scotland (Select).

Select is the national trade association for  professional electricians Scotland.
